Palazzo Grassi, San Marco (Venice)

To protect the fabric art installation from the risk of damage during high tides, a liftable wooden structure was designed and installed, serving as support to raise the artwork off the ground when necessary. The large central skylight, with an area of 196 square meters, underwent extraordinary maintenance, which included replacing the waterproof membranes between the iron and glass parts, as well as repairing and replacing damaged glass panels. Finally, access to the perimeter walkway of the skylight was restored and maintained, ensuring a safe and accessible environment for the building’s maintenance staff. These interventions contributed to preserving the integrity and beauty of Palazzo Grassi, ensuring it remains a premier venue for art and culture in Venice.
