Private Apartment, San Marco (Venice)

In the prestigious setting of the San Marco district, one of the most authentic and refined corners of Venice, we carried out the complete restoration of a private apartment, based on a design by architect Giulia Ciriotto of Studio di Architettura Ciriotto. The project began with a thorough series of tests to assess the condition of the floors, ceilings, beams and systems, in order to define a restoration plan that would be respectful of the building's history while also being functional for contemporary living. The first stages involved the demolition of deteriorated substrates and materials, with the targeted recovery of the historic wooden flooring in the bedroom and the original cement tiles in the living room/library, which were restored with artisan care. The renovated rooms were enhanced with new parquet flooring in the main living room and a second bedroom. All the technological systems in the house were completely rebuilt, ensuring efficiency and comfort. The two bathrooms, one for each bedroom, were completely renovated. A particularly valuable element is the restoration of the original doors and beams, which lend historical continuity to the spaces. The project was enhanced by the creation of new lime-based marmorino plasterwork, executed by master craftsman Giovanni Pasqual, with finishes of the highest quality. The project also included the installation of new windows and shutters, and a redesign of the interior layout, aimed at improving functionality and everyday usability. The result is a home that combines the charm of Venetian tradition with the elegance of modern design, creating a warm, welcoming environment that is perfectly tailored to the client's needs.
