Palazzo Barbarigo, Dorsoduro (Venice)

On the façades, the deteriorated plaster was removed, and the façades were subsequently rebuilt using washed out “cocciopesto” plaster with original colouring, workmanship and application as per the instructions of the Venetian Archaeology and Fine Arts Department. At the same time, the stone eaves frame was restored. Extraordinary maintenance was carried out on the entire roof by repointing the coating. During the entire period of the renovation work on this large building, it was necessary to place extensive scaffolding along the elevations; scaffolding was thus installed to cover both the main façade towards the field, and the internal courtyard.
