Shipyard Alilaguna, Giudecca (Venice)

The first step of the intervention included the partial removal of the old roof covering, followed by the installation of an innovative insulation system to ensure better protection from the elements. In addition, a new thermally insulated corrugated sheet metal roof was installed, providing a long-lasting solution to prevent water leaks. Alongside the main building, an external walkway previously used as storage and made of plexiglass was completely renovated using thermally insulated sandwich panels. This modification not only improved the building's energy efficiency but also increased the safety and functionality of the space. To complete the work, new gutters and cornices were installed, essential for ensuring efficient rainwater drainage, thus protecting the structure and its contents. These updates were made with careful attention to both aesthetics and practicality, ensuring that every detail met the specific needs of the shipyard.
