The restoration of the property

The apartment, located on the ground floor of a building dating back to the early 1900s, is part of a historical complex that includes several buildings and a deconsecrated church, overlooking an enchanting secret garden. The careful restoration designed by VP Architetti not only preserved the building’s historical spirit but also introduced a redistribution of the interior spaces that made the residence more functional and contemporary. Changes included the complete demolition of pre-existing plaster and substrates, the installation of a modern septic tank, the installation of new hydraulic and electrical systems, and the construction of a new internal layout in masonry. In addition to the structural aspects, the interior design focused on aesthetic details. The "papier peint," beautiful wallpaper belonging to the homeowner, inspired the choice of wall colours and fabrics, creating a harmonious and personalised atmosphere. These elements, together with new suspended ceilings, plaster restorations, and the installation of carefully selected cladding and window frames, transformed the apartment into an elegant and place to stay, perfectly integrated into the unique context of Venice.
