Private Apartment, Castello (Venice)

In the Castello district, we have transformed an outdated and impractical flat into a modern, bright and perfectly organised space. The project began with a complete demolition of the interior, involving the removal of plasterwork, services, windows and doors, and the existing bathroom, before completely redefining the layout through new openings and walls. This has resulted in more spacious rooms that are better suited to contemporary living requirements. A key element of the project was the restoration of the wooden beams, which were exposed and refurbished, along with the restoration of the original shutters. The new wooden windows and large window openings now ensure the rooms are exceptionally bright. The new layout comprises a spacious and airy living area, a separate kitchen opening onto a private balcony, a double bedroom and a fully renovated bathroom, which is now more spacious and functional. A decisive and targeted intervention that has radically transformed the property, restoring it as a contemporary space without losing its Venetian character.
