Hotel Palazzo Vitturi, Castello (Venice)

In accordance with the conservative restoration, the load-bearing walls on the ground floor, in precarious static condition, were demolished and subsequently rebuilt. For other less damaged structures, wall consolidation was carried out, replacing unstable sections using the "cuci-scuci" technique. The intervention also included the installation of steel lintels and iron beams to improve structural support. To adapt to the new distribution requirements, some openings along existing walls were created or closed, and new partition walls were built. In accordance with the Venice City Council's directives to update the sewage system, a waterproof septic tank was built inside the hotel entrance, in compliance with current standards. This restoration has allowed Hotel Palazzo Vitturi to maintain its historical character while meeting modern structural and regulatory requirements.
